MEVZA M: ACH Volley triumph in competition for record 11th time

ACH Volley Ljubljana claimed the 11th title in the Men’s Volleyball Middle European League.

Slovenia’s powerhouse ACH Volley Ljubljana got crowned MEVZA League champions for the record 11th time. The titleholders defeated fellow countrymen OK Merkur Maribor in the final of the 2021 edition, held in the Austrian city of Zwettl: 3-1 (23-25, 25-18, 29-27, 25-18).

Serbian international Božidar Vučićević topped ACH Volley’s scoresheet with 19 points. Iranian Amir Hossein Toukhteh set up 4 blocks, Jan Pokeršnik had 87 % reception (30 digs, 53 % excellent), while Matej Kök had 71 % attack (15/21). Rok Možič tallied 17 points for the Final Four rookies Maribor.
