“We knew we were most likely going to play Poland at this stage of the Championship and in the end there we go as we play the home heroes tomorrow” said Bulgaria team captain Todor Aleksiev. “This is a crucial game for us and I also think this is going to be a very interesting game to watch. I am happy that we will play before such large crowd, it definitely makes you feel better than to play in front of empty stands even though almost all supporters will be cheering on our opponents”.
“We are happy we have moved from Gdynia to Gdansk, for this means we are progressing in this Championship” said head coach Camillo Placi. “We are just waiting for this make-or-break game whose outcome will determine who will continue in this tournament and who will be out. I have great respect for the Polish team as well as for their head coach, my friend Andrea Anastasi”.
“It is going to be a very exciting game with Bulgaria. We will be doing our best and we can’t wait for tomorrow to come so as to play once more in this beautiful hall and before our great fans” stated Poland team leader Marcin Mozdzonek.
“As my colleagues have said, this is going to be a very interesting game. We lost to Bulgaria in the World League, so time has come for us to take revenge. We can’t wait for tomorrow and we have very high expectations for this game”, said Anastasi.
