OLYMPIC GAMES W: Kenya’s squad for Tokyo announced

The only representative of the African continent in the women’s volleyball tournament at the Tokyo Olympics, the Kenya National Team, will compete in the event in the Japanese capital with these 12 players.

The Kenya Women head coach Paul Bitok announced the names of the 12 players that will participate in the Tokyo Olympics. He crossed out opposite hitter Violet Makuto and libero Elizabeth Wanyama from the group of players with whom he worked during the preparation.

Kenya returns to the Olympic Games after 17 years, making its third appearance in the event.

The Olympic roster of Kenya:

Setters: Jane Wacu, Joy Lusenaka

Opposite hitters: Sharon Chepchumba, Emmaculate Chemtai

Outside hitters: Mercy Moim, Noel Murambi, Leonida Kasaya, Pamela Jepkirui

Middle blockers: Edith Mukuvilani, Gladys Ekaru, Lorine Chebet

Libero: Agripina Kundu
