The number of volleyball players that will carry the national flag at the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics is constantly increasing.
The Chinese sports delegation at the Tokyo Olympics opening ceremony will be led by female volleyball player Zhu Ting and taekwondoin Zhao Shuai. These two will serve as the flag-bearers. Needless to remind that Zhu Ting won the gold medal in the previous Games in Rio 2016, earning the MVP award.
Thus, the number of volleyball players as standard-bearers in Tokyo has increased to six: Maksim Mikhaylov (Russia), Prisilla Rivera (Dominican Republic), Kim Yeon-Koung (South Korea), Bruno Rezende (Brazil), Mehdi Ben Cheikh (Tunisia), and Zhu Ting (China).
