QAT M: Billings led Al Rayyan to 2nd place, Al Ahli also successful

Al Rayyan SC and Al Ahli SC Doha noted very important victories in the half of the season in their fight to undisputed leader in the standings - El Jaish SC.

Al Rayyan defeated at home Qatar SC, penultimate team on the table in straight sets, with partial 25-21, 25-19, 25-12.

The newcomer, American Brook Billings was the best scorer in the winning team with 19 followed by the Moroccan Mohamed Hachdadi with 16 points. The Brazilian Alex Jangada scored 14 for Qatar.

Al Rayyan has only two points less than El Jaish.

Al Ahli is desperately trying to catch up with the leading duo. It beat Al Sadd SC Doha in four sets and firmed at the fifth place.

The Brazilian Geraldo Goiano was unstoppable with 24 points while the French Philippe Barca-Cysique had 19 in Al Ahli. Raimi Gahoue collected 15 and Greek Zenia Gkortsaniouk one point less in the losing team.
