CL M: Do or die match for Resovia

by WoV

After suffering a straight-set defeat to Budvanska Rivijera BUDVA last week, the road to the Playoffs 12 got more complicated for Poland’s champions Asseco Resovia RZESZOW. The group around Belarusian team captain Aleh Akhrem will have to seize the night on Wednesday while hosting PARIS Volley for the last round of action in Pool C. Resovia will need to take three points from this game to make the Playoffs 12.

“I really do not know what happened to us in Budva last week” says Resovia head coach Andrzej Kowal. “Our opponents played better than we did in all fundamentals. We must beat PARIS Volley and this will be the most important match of the season so far” he continues.

PARIS Volley currently tops the charts in the Pool with 11 points followed by Resovia with 10 and BUDVA in third place with nine.

“We have claimed ten points so far and we still can finish first in the group. Everything is in our hands” says opposite Dawid Konarski. “We must play a good game and take three points.”

Resovia currently leads the way in the national league after completion of eleven rounds. “We are happy with this but right now what really matters is the Champions League. We have a really important mission to accomplish Wednesday night” Konarski adds.
Resovia will count on the support of more than 4,000 fans who once more will flock to the Podpromie sports hall in order to help their heroes make the next stage of the competition.
