Recall that CEV has issued a ban on 4 Russian clubs – Nizhny Novgorod (men), Dinamo Krasnodar (woman), Zarechie Odintsovo (women) and Omichka (women) – due to unpaid salaries toward former players. The Russian Volleyball Federation held a meeting with punished clubs and decided to give them two more weeks to pay off their debts.

“The situation is very serious. We have decided to give the clubs two more weeks, but if they fail to pay off their debts then they can face some major sanctions. Judging by what we heard, Krasnodar have almost solved their problems, while the situation with the other three clubs is a bit worse” said General Secretary of the Russian Volleyball Federation Alexander Yaremenko.
