Dinamo KAZAN suffered a surprising setback last week in Germany losing 2:3 to SCHWERINER SC and hence their first home match of the season against Robur Tiboni URBINO is extremely important. Jordan Larson-Burbach did not play in Germany, Tatyana Kosheleva, got injured back from Schwerin, Larson joined a match of the national league against Proton SARATOV REGION.

The players are very upset and angry for that defeat” says head coach Rishat Gilyazutdinov. “However, it is still good that we were shaken that way last week by SCHWERINER SC. We have analyzed all of our mistakes and we won’t do the same in the coming matches”.

US American outside hitter Jordan Larson-Burbach did not play in Germany as she was nursing an ankle injury but after another player of the starting six, Tatyana Kosheleva, got injured back from Schwerin, Larson was somehow obliged to join a match of the national league against Proton SARATOV REGION even though she hadn’t fully recovered yet. Dinamo eventually cruised past Proton in straight sets (25-11, 25-17, and 25-14) and tops the charts of the league together with Dinamo KRASNODAR.

Robur Tiboni URBINO is not performing well and did not score any points in the first couple of rounds of the national league and even lost its home debut in the Champions League 1:3 to Romania’s 2004 Tomis CONSTANTA. As their captain Lucia Crisanti sustained a serious injury breaking her cruciate ligament and will be out for some months, the Italian side was forced to look for a replacement and eventually opted for Croatian middle blocker Ilijana Dugandzic.
