Mascots of Atom Trefl SOPOT
Atom Trefl SOPOT has got a special connection with Azerbaijan’s Rabita BAKU that dates back to the time these teams crossed their ways in the 1/8 finals of the 2012 edition.
At the end of the weekend they shared in Vienna’s capital city, the representatives of Rabita did show their sympathy for Poland’s national champions by presenting their officials with two huge teddy bears, each one 1 m tall.
The special souvenirs will accompany the actions of the players from Sopot in the home matches of the season that is set toget started in late October 2013. Since these mascots have no name at the moment, the club has decided to open a contest and fans are invited to drop their proposals by e-mail (info@atomtrefl.pl).
The deadline for sending in ideas is set for the end of this week. This follows up on the footage released by SOPOT at the end of the past season featuring a little teddy bear that was to be seen at ERGO Arena as the local heroines were fighting for their second consecutive title in the national league.
