Actually the game did start quite promisingly for Lokomotiv – winner of last year’s CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup – as they were anchored by their Czech spiker Aneta Havlickova. However, their opponents responded pretty well and could sweep three consecutive sets to make it to the next round and play there the winner of the clash starring Unendo Yamamay BUSTO ARSIZIO of Italy and Germany’s SCHWERINER SC. “We did our best but we made a way too many mistakes while Azerrail played once more a great match” says Lokomotiv head coach Giuseppe Cuccarini. “Even though we played aggressively, this was not enough for us to win tonight”.
