AUT M: Posojilnica find their way to playoff finals, Amstetten extend series vs. Waldviertel

The runners-up SK Posojilnica Aich/Dob advanced to the 2017/18 Austrian men’s volleyball championship DenizBank AG Volley League playoff finals.

No.1 SK Posojilnica Aich/Dob became the first team to make it to the 2017/18 Volley League finals. This season’s MEVZA cup winners won Game 3 of the semifinals against No.4 UVC Holding Graz by a 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-16) and made a sweep of the rivals in the series.

David Michel topped Posojilnica with 20 points. The German Maximilian Auste scored 11 points for Graz.

No.2 SG Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel did not convert their first „match ball“ in the series against No.3 SG VCA Amstetten NÖ/hotVolleys. The 2017/18 national cup winners won by a 3-0 on the road to extend the series to Game 4.

Thomas Tröthann was the best scorer for the winning side with 17 points. The Brazilian Rudinei Boff delivered 10 points for Waldviertel.
