According to Gian Luca Pasini, the men’s volleyball club world champions Cucine Lube Civitanova wanted to engage Polish superstar Bartosz Kurek for the second half of the season!

Gian Luca Pasini wrote in his blog that Cucine Lube Civitanova sent an offer to their SuperLega rivals Vero Volley Monza for the MVP of the 2018 FIVB World Championship in order to replace injured Iranian international Amir Ghafour. However, Pasini reported that no agreement was reached between these two teams, therefore Kurek remains in his current team.

This morning the deadline for transfers of players in the Italian Championship has expired. At this point, the winners of the first half of the season in SuperLega have two options: to wait for Ghafour to recover or to look for a player who hasn’t started the season in Italy.

Lube should have signed Kurek before the season started.

Re: @Kili
Agreed, his last few years were very mediocre except last year World Championship. Not to mention his lack of professionalism since he signed a contract and then decided not to respect it
