The Italian leagues in talk with the Ministry of Sports without getting in touch with Italian VF

by WoV

Diego Mosna, the President of the men’s Serie A Volleyball league and Mauro Fabris, the President of the Women’s Serie A Volleyball league have called the Italian Ministry of Sports for a meeting.

Interestingly, they’ve done it avoiding contacting the Italian Volleyball Federation.

They expressed their concern about the economic effects due to the coronavirus pandemic. The topic of the meeting should be the actions and strategy for overcoming the crisis.

Also, Diego Mosna and Mauro Fabris have resigned from their positions a few days ago as a reaction to the Italian Volleyball Federation’s decision to cancel all volleyball activities for this season.

In the Italian leagues, the clubs are proposing a 30% cut, which is difficult for the players to accept that proposal. They are trying to find a solution…

The other European leagues have found the way how to solve these issues.
