Middle blocker Tatiana Crkonova top scored for the home side with 15 points while Asa Gustavsson totaled 6 for Sweden.
“I am glad that we won but we made some stupid mistakes in defense and we were a little bit nervous. I expect a tough match against Israel tomorrow after seeing their win over Spain” said home mentor Miroslav Cada.
“I think we did fairly well in the beginning but Slovakia was too strong. They had too much physical power. For us this is a good opportunity to develop and test ourselves against strong teams while trying our best” concluded Sweden’s mentor Tina Celinder-Nygren.
