After a close victory (3:2), Netherlands faced Portugal again in a rematch, part of the World League Qualifications.

This second game was more of a tactical battle. The opponents got to know each other in the previous game, so it was up to coaches to outsmart the rival. Once again, the crowd enjoyed as great skills were shown. In a true volleyball spectacle, Netherlands won again in five sets 3:2 (20:25, 25:23, 17:25, 25:21, 15:13).
