Special funds were raised during the match to buy medical equipment to be donated to the oncology department of the “Instytut Matki i Dziecka” based in Warsaw.

Bank BPS Fakro and the “Heroes Foundation” have been already cooperating for many years and last season, apart from collecting money, a limited edition of calendars was produced and sold to support the activities of that charity.

Additionally, the players visited the children undergoing medical treatment at the oncology departments of some hospitals located in Krakow and Warsaw.

More than 1’000 € were donated during yesterday’s match with PESARO and straight transferred to the “Heroes Foundation” to support sick and disabled children.

At the end of the match the local heroines stayed in the sports hall to sign autographs, calendars and photos for their fans (pictured is Anna Baranska-Werblinska).
