ARG M: Argentina travels to Brazil for the Juniors’ Men South American Championship

This Tuesday starts for the Argentine Juniors' their South American Championship in the Brazilian city of Saquarema that qualifies three teams for the 2013 World Championship in Turkey. Read the latest news from volleyball world on worldofvolley.com.

The boys coached by Fabian Muraco participated of two Pan-American Cups – for Seniors’ and U 23; played friendly matches in Canada and competitions in Argentina and with all these experiences arrived at noon to Saquarema, nearby Rio de Janeiro where Brazil has its High Performance Volleyball Centre.

With seven participating teams, Argentina plays in Pool B – four teams playing against Peru on Tuesday at 16.30, on Wednesday v Uruguay at 18.30 and finally, on Thursday at 14.30 v Venezuela.

Pool A includes the host team of Brazil, Chile and Colombia. The best two teams of each pool will participate of the semi-final matches. Three berths for the World Championship representing the three best teams (Podium) where the Bronze Medal becomes a very important tool to jump into the world tournament for the first time.

Argentina has participated of the Juniors’ World Championships since the year 2007 without stop with a fifth place in Morroco, a bronze medal in India and a silver one in Brazil in the last three participations.
