Due to injuries, two important players of Brazil will not be able to compete in the upcoming Final Six, in Curitiba – a receiver Felipe Fonteles ’Lipe’ and opposite Evandro Guerra.

Lipe sustained a stretch in the left calf during the last week of the Preliminary Round and will not recover on time for the F6 since it is a grade 2 injury that requires a longer treatment time. Renan Dal Zotto, a head coach of the Brazilian NT, will not summon anyone instead of Lipe.

As for Evandro, he got a thrombosis in the right forearm and will be replaced with Renan Buitatti, who will backup Wallace de Souza in opposite position in Brazil’s roster. This injury will not sideline Evandro for a long time but since the recovery for it excludes any kind of hitting the ball, he will have to skip the Final Six.
