The medical team of Brazil national team held a meeting with their colleagues from EMS Taubaté Funvic to consult on the issue that came up after Superliga side requested Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV) to return Ricardo Lucarelli to its training.
The joint decision was to allow the outside hitter to continue his recovery process with Taubaté because, according to the latest tests which his club performed, the player is not yet able to undergo routine work with the national team and, therefore, is temporarily exempted from his obligations with the “Seleção” who prepares for the 2018 FIVB World Championship in September.
The two medical staffs reached an agreement to make the new assessment of Lucarelli‘s physical condition in August for a possible recall to Brazil squad for the 2018 FIVB World Championship.
