VNL M: FIVB apologizes to national teams and players for inconveniences they have in Bologna

by WoV

The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) was forced to say something after numerous complaints from national teams they had expressed in regard to their stay in Bologna, Italy, where the final tournament of the 2022 Men’s Volleyball Nations League is held.

The national teams of Iran, France, and Poland complained about the conditions, each one complained about something different, upon their arrival in Bologna for the Final 8 of the VNL. The FIVB couldn’t remain silent and issued the declaration (actually its partner Volleyball World, who’s in charge of the event, issued the note), which we took from Gian Luca Pasini’s blog Dal 15 al 25.

“Volleyball World is taking these complaints very seriously and apologizes to the athletes and teams for any inconvenience caused. We are extremely disappointed that the conditions don’t meet the high standards set by Volleyball World and exemplified by the women’s VNL finals in Turkey. While working to ensure organizers rectify these issues quickly, Volleyball World will continue to deliver on its promise of connecting volleyball fans around the world by providing world-class events, unmatched TV broadcasts, and world-leading sports presentations,” VW wrote.
