The two teams will clash again on Saturday with Chinese Taipei needing just two sets to seal their place alongside the other 15 teams set to compete in the World Grand Prix.
Algeria, meanwhile, have a mountain to climb as they need a straight sets win and a better points ratio if they are to reach the main tournament.
