Marcus Böhme, 2.11 meter tall middle blocker, is called "Gigante" in the German team. If Boehme stands next Dmitriy Muserskiy, "Gigante" looks like "little mouse" as the Russian super-star measures from head to toe 2.18 meters. The spectators in Frankfurt can see the duel of the giants, both players will play World League matches on 5 and 6 July. This and other volleyball news read on Worldofvolley.com.

Muserskiy was decisive man in the Olympic finals in the London. Russian team was back 0:2 in the final against Brazil, then coach Vladimir Alekno ordered Muserskiy to play on the diagonal position. The big man does not hold back. At the end Muserskiy had incredible 31 points.

Germany setter Lukas Kampa knows Muserskiy good, he played in the season 2012/13 for a few months at his side. “He is a pleasant, quiet guy and speaks good English. So I could talk with him more than with others. He is an exceptional player. For his size, he moves very well. He has shown in many games that he is a world class player. It is interesting to play with him, but also interesting to play against him” said Lukas Kampa.

Muserskiy has – hardly imaginable in his size – a great touch and body control. In the last four years he has developed super fast. It is universally applicable, that makes him so valuable,” says Jochen Schöps five years active in Russia.
