Dinamo-LO put an end to a 7-game run of Zenit Saint Petersburg in the 2021/22 Russian Men’s Volleyball Championship.
Zenit St.Petersburg counted on winning the full set of points from their visit to Sosnovy Bor, but the players of the home side of Dinamo-LO had something else on their minds. Dinamo-LO prevailed over favored rivals 3-2 in Round 17 of the 2021/22 Men’s Superliga Parimatch. The home team was led by the Serb Marko Ivović (22 points) and Artem Melnikov (6 blocks).
Dinamo-LO, which earned the 10th victory in 15 matches (27 points), is in the 5th position in the standings. Zenit remained 3rd with 11-4 and 32 points, losing pace behind the vice-leader Lokomotiv.
