The course is being run by Mohammad Khalil, who had to fly to Cairo, Egypt before embarking on six hour car journey to the Palestinian border.

The opening ceremony was held at the Al Naser Al Arabi Sporting Club and was attended by Palestine Volleyball Federation president Jaber Asfoor as well as Palestine National Olympic Committee vice-president Waleed Ayoub.

The course will continue until next Monday and is being run alongside the Olympic Solidarity project as the FIVB looks to cement its commitment to improve the sport on a truly global scale.
