WCH W: USA better than Bulgaria

The USA’s clean path in the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship 2014, with seven full victories over seven matches, was threatened by Bulgaria in the second game of Pool F. But the Americans proved to be too strong again, winning 3-0 (25:17, 25:18, 25:16).

Kelly Murphy was the top scorer for the U.S. with 14 points, while the Premium Panathlon – Lella Pavarotti award for the most impressive player of the match was given to Kelsey Robinson by 2002 World Champion Simona Rinieri.

Emiliya Nikolova led the score for Bulgaria with 13 points. No blocks were performed by Bulgaria, while the USA had seven; Bulgaria was also outscored 7-2 on service aces.
