The Japan Women’s Volleyball National Team remained without a head coach.
The Japanese Volleyball Association (JVA) has announced that Kumi Nakada, current head coach of the women’s national team, will step down from the post at the end of the month. Actually, after failing to enter the quarter-finals of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games (Japan finished in 10th place) with the team, a 55-year-old expert expressed her intention to resign and reiterated her decision recently.
Nakada was at the helm of the Japan National Team since April 2017, leading it to win two titles in the Asian Championship (2018 and 2019). The JVA informed the media that it will soon announce Nakada’s successor.
