The Slovakia Women’s National Team has a new head coach after parting ways with Italian Marco Fenoglio – it is the local expert Michal Mašek.

The 38-year-old coach is a volleyball globetrotter, who has been working abroad for the last 10 years but found himself feeling most comfortable working in Poland where he resides now. Mašek is at the helm of one of the best clubs in Poland recently, ŁKS Commercecon Łódź, with which he took the national title in 2019. Mašek’s major preoccupation in the new post will be to qualify Slovakia for the next EuroVolley.
