Alan Souza posted a comment on the termination of the contract with Kuzbass Kemerovo via his Instagram profile and thanked the club for their understanding and support.
“With great sadness I am announcing my departure from Kuzbass Kemerovo. I was looking forward to the first international experience that lasted much less than I wanted. In agreement with the club, I accepted the termination of the contract this week. Last season I had discomfort in my foot during the preparations for Seleção. I played in the Olympics and had no more symptoms. After some time in Russia, the pain came back, it started to bother me a lot and we decided to do more tests. The results of the medical examinations showed that I would have to stop for a while to recover. I forwarded the results to the medical team of the Brazilian national team and they agreed that it was necessary to stop and treat. I must express my gratitude for the understanding and help provided to me by the leaders of Kuzbass Kemerovo. They understood, were by my side, helped me with what I needed and gave me time to recover. But in the final joint conversation, we decided it was better to terminate the contract. On that way club can still hire another foreigner to take my place and achieve the goals of the season. I will now be able to return to Brazil, be with family and friends, and analyze and decide what the next steps in my treatment will be.”
