Germany vs. Bulgaria
Every four teams which ended first phase as leaders of groups lost in quarterfinals! Finland was in front of Serbia, now is out of the tournament. Belgium outplayed Italy earlier…same thing – out. France managed to beat Poland, but Russia was too strong for them. And, Germany found a place in front of teams like Bulgaria and Russia in group stage… It seems they beat Bulgarians in wrong phase.
For that reason we just can’t decide which elimination is the biggest surprise. Surely it’s not happening every day that every team which goes directly in quarterfinals ends its trip exactly there.
