“We are very excited to play at the World Championship,” said Canada’s women’s team head coach, Arnd Ludwig.
“I had to make some tough decisions when choosing the roster of 14 players, as all our athletes have worked very hard in training. My hope is that our practice and playing in Grand Prix this summer will pay off for us during this important tournament.”
Canada’s pool will be a challenge as it includes world-ranked number one Brazil, Serbia (8), Turkey (11), Bulgaria (35) and Cameroon (27).
“We will enjoy every single match against these top teams and we want to play each on our best level,” said Ludwig, who is in Slovenia with his team for pre-Worlds training.
